Carlson & Dumeer, LLC Secures Dismissal of All Charges in High-Speed Driving Case Through Critical Evidence Review
Middletown, CT — [June 25, 2025] — Carlson & Dumeer, LLC is proud to announce that all charges have been dismissed against Azmir Djurkovic who was wrongfully accused of operating a vehicle at speeds exceeding 132 mph and other related motor vehicle offenses. This outcome followed an internal investigation by the firm, which revealed critical discrepancies that disproved the allegations.
After receiving dashboard camera footage from the arresting officer, attorneys at Carlson & Dumeer conducted a thorough frame-by-frame review and compared the vehicle shown in the video to the car owned by the client. The investigation uncovered clear and indisputable differences:
- The wheels were different colors
- The roofs were different colors
- The door handles were a different color
- The exhaust molding differed significantly
- Most notably, the vehicles were entirely different models/years
In addition, Carlson & Dumeer presented evidence that Mr. Djurkovic was at home and in bed at the time of the alleged incident. Despite this, the investigating officer failed to take even the most basic steps to verify the identity of the vehicle or the driver. The officer refused to consider Mr. Djurkovic statements, declined to view exonerating video footage, and ignored obvious visual differences between the car involved in the incident and the car the client drove to the police station.
Through diligent legal work and careful evidence analysis, Carlson & Dumeer demonstrated that the arrest was based on manipulated facts and an incomplete investigation. Once this was presented, the State’s Attorney’s Office and the Court acted swiftly and appropriately to dismiss all charges against Mr. Djurkovic.
